Exciting Opportunity for a KS2 Teacher – Join a Dynamic Primary School in Sedgley, Dudley!

We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and highly skilled Pupil Learning Centre Lead Teacher to join our wonderful primary school community in Sedgley. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to lead our on-site Learning Centre, supporting pupils who require short-term intervention, alternative learning approaches, or additional pastoral support to help them thrive.

The successful candidate will champion inclusion, provide high-quality tailored learning, and work closely with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure every child receives the support they need.


As a Pupil Learning Centre Lead Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the daily running of the Pupil Learning Centre, ensuring a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Coordinate timetables, interventions, and support plans for pupils attending the Centre.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing through positive relationships and restorative approaches.
  • Deliver personalised, high-quality teaching to pupils requiring additional support away from the mainstream classroom.
  • Assess individual needs and develop targeted Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) to support academic, behavioural, and social development.
  • Liaise with external professionals when needed, such as behaviour support teams or educational psychologists.

Required Skills and experience needed for this Lead Teacher Role:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in Primary Education, particularly with KS2.
  • Strong understanding of SEND, SEMH, and intervention strategies
  • Experience leading nurture groups, intervention programmes, or alternative provision.
  • Training in emotional literacy, trauma-informed practice, or behaviour support.
