Are you a dedicated and proactive individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?

A warm and inclusive primary school in Halesowen is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated Year 2 team. This role will involve supporting pupils, some who present with challenging behaviours, to help them engage positively and make progress in their learning.

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff, you will help create a nurturing and structured environment where every child feels supported and valued.

The role requires someone who can show initiative and flexibility when responding to the needs of the class, while also being a strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Required skills and experience for this teaching assistant role:
-          Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
-          Previous experience working with SEN and challenging needs (either mainstream or in a SEN school)
-          Experience working with children in KS1 and EYFS
-          Ability to work alongside classroom teacher and other support staff to provide efficient care and learning opportunities
-          A DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months
-          A minimum of 2 excellent references
