Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant looking for a part-time role starting after Easter?

A welcoming 2-form entry Primary School in Halesowen is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team from after Easter, with the potential to extend through to the October half-term.

This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week in a Year 5 class, supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.

In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils in accessing the curriculum, building confidence, and making progress in their learning. You will provide general classroom support and assist pupils with a range of abilities.

This school is looking for a proactive, reliable, and supportive Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping children succeed.

As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons in a Year 5 classroom.
  • Providing general classroom support to pupils of varying abilities.
  • Assisting children with their learning, helping to reinforce key concepts.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
  • Helping to prepare resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
  • Supporting pupils’ academic and social development.


To be successful in this Learning Support Assistant role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Ideally, experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, supportive, and proactive approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A minimum of 2 references
