Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant with experience in EAL and Speech & Language support?

Flourish Education are working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Oldbury, to appoint a dedicated EAL and Speech & Language Support specialist to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time basis (8.30 to 3.30, 5 days per week) until July 2026.

This is an exclusive opportunity to join a school rated Good by Ofsted, where the leadership team places a high value on inclusive teaching practices and language development support. The school is two-form entry and has a growing need for EAL provision across the primary age range.

As an EAL/Speech and Language Support Teacher or TA, you will work to deliver targeted intervention using the WelCom program and other strategies to enhance pupil language acquisition and communication.

As an EAL/Speech & Language Support specialist, you will be expected to:

      Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with EAL and speech/language needs.

Deliver targeted interventions across the primary age range, using the WelCom toolkit.

Monitor and track pupil progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.

Work collaboratively with class teachers and inclusion staff to integrate support into the wider curriculum.

Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages confidence in speaking, listening, and understanding.

Required Skills and Experience:

      Prior experience supporting EAL pupils and/or children with speech and language needs.

Background as a qualified teacher (QTS) or experienced TA (Level 2 or Level 3) with relevant specialism.

Experience using intervention tools such as WelCom is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

A commitment to inclusive education and pupil development.

Working as an EAL Teaching assistant for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:

      £88.92 to £100.00 per day, equating to £17,339 to £19,500 per annum based on a full school year.
