Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant, hoping to secure your next role in January?

Flourish Education are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Oldbury, who are seeking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Practitioner to support a Year 5 class from after the February half term until July.

This role will involve providing general classroom support alongside the class teacher, helping to maintain a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment. The class also includes two pupils with low-level SEN needs, so previous experience supporting children with SEN would be highly desirable.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of Key Stage 2, with the ability to support learning across core subjects, including English and Maths, as well as delivering or assisting with small group interventions where required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner looking for a full-time role within a supportive school setting for the remainder of the academic year.


Required Skills and Experience for this Learning Support Assistant role
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Previous experience supporting small groups, and leading intervention sessions in a Primary School, or School-based setting.
  • Previous experience working with SEN pupils
  • A good understanding of behavioural support techniques and strategies.
  • Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 2
  •  
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references

  • Competitive Salary – between £88.92 - £100 per day depending on experience, which equates to £17,339.40 - £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
