Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking for your next long-term opportunity? Flourish Education are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Harborne who are seeking a Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or an ECT looking to develop their classroom experience within a supportive secondary school environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, marking pupils' work and tracking their progress throughout the placement.
The role offers the opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils, support their academic progress and contribute to the wider Maths department.
Job Role:
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with the school curriculum
- Mark and assess pupils' work, providing constructive feedback
- Track and monitor pupil progress throughout the placement
- Support pupils of different abilities through effective differentiation
- Maintain excellent classroom and behaviour management
- Prepare KS4 pupils for GCSE examinations where required
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Maths – ECTs are welcome to apply
- Experience teaching Maths within a UK Secondary School
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
- Experience marking and assessing pupils' work
- A positive reference from your most recent employer
