A friendly and supportive Primary School in Oldbury is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join their team from April through to the end of the academic year in July.

This is a full-time position, based within the school’s Pre-school room, supporting young children during an important stage of their early development.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children’s learning through play-based activities, helping to develop their communication, social, and physical skills. You will supervise and engage children during both indoor and outdoor play, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will also support children with feeding and personal care throughout the day.

As a Nursery Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children in the Pre-school room with their learning and development through structured and play-based activities.
• Supervising and engaging children during indoor and outdoor play.
• Assisting with feeding and personal care in a respectful and supportive manner.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction.
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
• Observing and monitoring children’s progress and contributing to their development.

To be successful in this Nursery Nurse role, you will need:

• A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above).
• A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (essential).
• Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting.
• Experience supporting children with personal care needs.
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
• Availability to work full-time from April until July.
