Are you an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role in a school setting?


Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Cirencester working within their Pre-School class. This full-time position is set to begin after the October half-term and offers long-term stability, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.


You will be working with children aged 3–4 years, supporting their early development through play-based learning and outdoor activities. The school has a strong Early Years ethos, a well-established team, and is known for its inclusive, nurturing approach. Staff at the school regularly highlight the positive culture and team-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities for this Nursery Practitioner:
  • Support children aged 3–4 in their daily routines and learning
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Promote positive behaviour and build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and wider Early Years team
Essential Requirements to work as an Early Years Assistant:
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Early Years Practitioner in a UK school or nursery setting
  • A solid understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum
  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months
  • Two strong references that confirm your experience in a similar role
