Are you a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role?

A welcoming and friendly Primary school in West Bromwich is seeking a dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team on a part-time basis. This role is starting in September until July 2027

This Nursery Teaching Assistant role is based within the nursery setting, supporting young children during a crucial stage of their development. You will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to provide a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment, helping children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically through play-based learning.

The school is looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive Nursery Teaching Assistant with strong EYFS knowledge and a genuine passion for early years education.

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children in the nursery setting through play-based and structured activities.

  • Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.

  • Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development.

  • Encouraging communication, independence, and positive behaviour.

  • Supporting routines such as snack time, transitions, and outdoor learning.

  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team.

  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.


To be successful in this Nursery Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting (essential).

  • A relevant EYFS qualification.

  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.

  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A reliable and professional attitude.
