Job Description

Flourish Education are currently seeking a Nursery Practitioner to support within a ‘Good’ rated Nursery School in West Heath. This Nursery school has resources such as a Forest School and facilitates free flow play both indoors and outdoors all year round.

This school is seeking a Nursery Practitioner for a short-term, temporary contact, starting ASAP and continuing until Christmas, this is potentially ongoing. The responsibilities of this role would include, delivering activities to key children within the nursery, supervising indoor and outdoor play, observing and recording progress made by pupils.

The responsibilities of this Nursery Practitioner Role, include:

  • Work as a Nursery Practitioner within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that encourages children’s curiosity and growth.
  • Collaborate with other Teaching Assistants (TAs) and school staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
  • Keep up-to-date records on children’s progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
  • Support the primary school in all aspects of classroom management and student well-being.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 early years qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Nursery Practitioner within a UK primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and Early Years (EYFS) framework.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere while managing time effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team of TAs and primary
