Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner looking for a part-time role from September?

Flourish Education are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Worcester, who are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their Early Years team from September on a long-term basis.

This part-time position is working 4 days per week within the school's Pre-School room, supporting children aged 3–4 years old. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years provision, helping children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically through engaging and purposeful learning opportunities.

The Pre-School class includes two children with mild speech and language needs, therefore experience supporting communication and language development within an Early Years setting would be highly beneficial. You will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

This Primary school is looking for a caring, proactive, and experienced Nursery Practitioner who has a strong understanding of child development and can build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the learning and development of children aged 3–4 years within the Pre-School setting.

  • Delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

  • Supporting children's communication and language development, including those with mild speech and language needs.

  • Encouraging children's social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning.

  • Observing, monitoring, and recording children's progress and achievements.

  • Supporting children with daily routines and promoting independence.

  • Working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

  • Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.

  • Promoting safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing at all times.


Required Skills and Experience for this Nursery Practitioner role:

  • A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above).

  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.

  • A secure understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

  • Experience supporting children's communication and language development.

  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.

  • A minimum of two excellent professional references.
