Job Description

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a supportive environment? This role is perfect for a PE Teacher ready to make an impact in a thriving Birmingham Secondary School rated “GOOD” by Ofsted.

If you’re a motivated Secondary Teacher passionate about sports and fitness education, we’d love to hear from you. This role is due to start just after October half-term up until February, it will start off as 3 days a week and potentially turn into 5. You will be teaching both KS3 and KS4.


This PE Teacher role will include:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons following the National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
  • Plan, prepare, and mark all classwork, ensuring student engagement and progress.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain excellent behaviour management in line with school policies.
  • Participate actively in departmental and staff meetings to contribute to the school's continued success.
  • Foster a positive learning environment to motivate students to achieve their potential in PE.

Required Skills and Experience for the PE Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Proven experience as a PE Teacher or Secondary Teacher in a UK Secondary School.
  • Excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
