PE Teacher

We are recruiting for a PE Teacher to join a vibrant and high-achieving secondary school with a strong commitment to student development. This is due to start in November until the end of the academic year.  You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with full class responsibilities.

As a PE Teacher in this school, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 following the National Curriculum
• Full class responsibilities including planning, marking, and assessment
• Encouraging pupil progress through a range of inclusive and innovative teaching strategies
• Maintaining excellent behaviour management in line with school policies
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school community
• Supporting extracurricular sporting activities to enhance pupil performance

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognition as an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Proven experience as a Secondary Teacher, PE Teacher, or subject specialist in a Secondary School
• Excellent behaviour management strategies
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for PE at KS3 and KS4
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
• Flexibility, dedication, and a genuine passion for teaching

• £170 to £240 per day, which equates to £33,150  to £46,800 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This PE Teacher role is based in Edgbaston, easily commutable from Harborne, Selly Oak, Moseley, Kings Norton, Bearwood, and Bournville. The school offers excellent transport links across Birmingham and has onsite parking for staff.
