Flourish Education is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a welcoming Secondary School in Walsall from September 2026. This full-time position presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher to join an established school and inspire students to develop a positive attitude towards Physical Education, sport and healthy lifestyles.

In this role, the successful PE Teacher will deliver well-structured and engaging lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop both their practical sporting abilities and their understanding of Physical Education. You will be responsible for planning lessons, assessing progress and creating a learning environment where students are encouraged to participate, improve and enjoy being active.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced PE Teacher or an ECT looking to begin their teaching career within a supportive Secondary School. The successful candidate will benefit from working alongside a collaborative team and will have opportunities to contribute to the wider sporting life of the school.
Job Role:
- Teach engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of students with different abilities
- Encourage pupils to develop their practical sporting skills and knowledge
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness and participation in sport
- Build positive relationships with students and maintain high standards of behaviour
- Work effectively alongside members of the PE department and wider teaching staff
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, fixtures and wider sporting events where required
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physical Education – ECTs are welcome to apply
- Previous experience teaching PE within a UK Secondary School
- Good subject knowledge across Physical Education and a range of sporting activities
- Strong lesson planning and delivery skills
- Confident classroom and behaviour management
- Ability to differentiate lessons and support students with a range of needs
- A positive, enthusiastic and professional approach
- A satisfactory reference from your most recent employer

This PE Teacher position is based in Walsall and is easily commutable from areas including Wolverhampton, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Cannock, Dudley and surrounding areas. The school has good transport links, making it accessible by both car and public transport.
