Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a PPA Teacher to work at an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary school located in Cheltenham.

The school requires a flexible PPA Teacher to cover classes across all year groups. You will be required to work on a part time basis for three days a week (Monday-Wednesday). This is a long-term position to continue provisionally until the end of the Autumn term, with the potential for the role to be extended for the right canddiate.

As a PPA Teacher, you will not be expected to plan lessons, but will be required to teach pre-planned lessons in a fun and engaging way. Other responsibilities will include marking pupil’s work, and carrying out any assessments required by the class teacher. This role would suit an experienced teacher who loves being with the children but is looking to improve that all-important work/life balance!

You will have high expectations of pupil behaviour, work well as part of a team alongside the teaching assistants and be dedicated to creating a positive learning environment.

The school are looking for a PPA Teacher for a September start.

Required skills and experience for this PPA Teacher Role:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Primary curriculum
  • High expectations of pupil behaviour
  • The ability to plan and deliver lessons across different year groups
  • To be able to work in partnership with class TA and other staff members
  • To create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment

This PPA Teacher role is located in Cheltenham, and is easily commutable from the surrounding areas including Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye. The school has an onsite carpark, and is easily accessible via public transport.
