Job Description

Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a PPA Teacher in a Primary School based in Smethwick. This role would be perfect for an ECT who is lacking in confidence or wants to gain additional experience teaching across the primary age range. In addition to this, you will get to see how a different school, works.

The responsibilities of this role include, delivering pre-planned lessons across the primary age range, marking pupils work, feeding back to the class Teacher, and working alongside the teaching assistant.

This is a long-term, full-time position starting from September until the end of the academic year.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply for this position.

Required skills and experience for this PPA Teacher Role:

  • To hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • The ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across different year groups.
  • To create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.
  • Work alongside support staff to ensure that the needs of all pupils are met.
  • Provide feedback to pupils, in line with the school’s policy.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents.
  • Set clear expectations for behaviour and learning in the classroom.

To apply for this PPA Teacher Role you will need the following:

  • Currently completing a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Qualification.
  • Able to plan and/or deliver primary lessons to all abilities.
  • Experience working in Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • A passion for education and a desire to create better outcomes for all your pupils.
  • Be adaptable and reliable, reacting with confidence to new challenges.
  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued in the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of 2 references are required.

  • A competitive salary of £125 to £154 per day which equates to £24,375 - £30,000 per annum based on working 5 days a week for the full school year and depending on experience.
