Flourish Education has an exciting opportunity for a Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to work in a school within the Wolverhampton area, for a full-time permanent role. This role requires someone to be responsible for SEN provision across the school and be committed to raising educational attainment for young children with SEN.

This SENCO position is available starting from September until March, working 5 days per week at a local school in Wolverhampton. Applicants are required to have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have good knowledge of supporting children with additional needs – such as those with EHCP plans or individual support plans.

Required skills and experience

  • Valid SENCO qualification and prior experience with SEN needs
  • Attend meetings with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other staff
  • Previous experience as a SENCO
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with parents, pupils, staff, and other agencies
  • Writing action plans, EHCPs for individual children
  • Good knowledge of SEND provision and experience writing action plans for children
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
  • Minimum of 2 excellent references required.

  • A competitive salary of up to £240 per day (dependant on experience) which equates to £46,800 per annum based on working 5 days a week for the full school year.
