Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Primary Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Kings Norton from September until the end of the academic year. This Class Teacher role is full-time, working in a Year 2 class.

The school is seeking a confident Primary Teacher who can plan, deliver and mark engaging lessons that meet the expectations of the National Curriculum. This role is ideal for an experienced Primary Teacher with excellent behaviour management and a good understanding of Key Stage 1.

Working as a Primary Teacher you will:
  • Take on full class teacher responsibilities including planning, preparation, marking and assessment
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Support pupils in developing both academically and socially
  • Work collaboratively with the KS1 team and wider school staff
  • Track pupil progress and contribute to school assessment systems

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience as a Primary Teacher or KS1 Class Teacher
  • Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Confident teaching in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and understanding of Key Stage 2 (KS2) transitions
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

This position is in Kings Norton, which is easily commutable from Longbridge, Rubery, Kings Heath, Selly Oak, Bartley Green, and Harborne, and has excellent transport links from most areas of Birmingham. The school offers onsite parking.
