Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting a Primary Teacher for a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Year 5/6 mixed class. The Primary Teacher role is on a full-time basis and will begin in September. 

The Primary School is based in a small rural Cotswold village near Cirencester. The school has a great environment with a caring attitude towards pupils and its teachers. The school is a small 0.5 form entry school with mixed classes of no more than 16 pupils.

The ideal candidate is expected to have experience in working with a year 5 or 6 class and experience working within Key Stage 2 (KS2).

The successful candidate is expected to undertake full planning and marking responsibilities.

The Primary Teacher role

  • Plan and deliver lessons to a class of up to 16 with engaging and creative methods.
  • Create a positive learning environment.
  • Effectively manage the behaviour of pupils.
  • Marking and assessing the work of the pupils.

Required skills and experience for the Primary Teacher role

  • Must have relevant teacher status: QTS primary, NQT primary and ECT primary accepted.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with Excellent communication skills.
  • Advantageous working within a Key Stage 2 (KS2) class.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience working with classroom technology.
