We are working with a friendly Primary School in the Northfield area who is looking to recruit a KS2 teacher on a full time, long term basis in September. The role is to cover maternity leave and is expected to last for the full academic year.
The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is a large Primary school and Nursery. There are a large number of children with SEN at the school who are supported with 1:1 LSP’s. This is a Forest School.
To apply to this role you will need the following
This KS2 Teacher role requires:
· QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
· At least 1 year of KS2 teaching experience
· Recent, relevant teaching reference
· Good behaviour management
As a Primary Teacher in KS2 you will be expected to have excellent curriculum knowledge. It is likely that the post will be in Year 5, but there is an element of flexibility depending on the strengths of the applicant.
As this role is at a Forest School, previous experience or qualification in this would be an advantage. You will also have good behaviour management and the ability to differentiate lessons effectively. There is a wide range of abilities in this class, from over-achievers to children who are achieving significantly below average, so your lessons must be diverse and creative in order to engage all children.
The school would ideally like to recruit a teacher with at least 2 years of experience, although strong NQT’s are also welcome to apply and will be considered.
