Are you a teacher looking for a consistent long-time role for September?

Flourish Education are looking for a teacher to join one of our schools from September 2024 on a long-term basis. The school is based in the Smethwick area and will be covering a Year 5 class for an extended period of staff absence.

Previous experience working in Key Stage Two (ideally upper Key Stage Two) would be preferred. Planning, marking and assessment would be required – PPA allowance is allocation to complete this alongside the other year group partners.

The school does not have the capacity to support an Early Career Teacher so the role is only open to teachers who have completed their induction period.

Job role
⦁ Teaching a Year 5 class
⦁ Full class teacher role: planning, marking and assessment required
⦁ Follow the school’s marking policy
⦁ Build relationships with the pupils, parents and staff
⦁ Provide feedback on pupil progress/attainment – including parents evening
⦁ Attend CPD/staff meetings relevant to the role with other teachers/staff
⦁ Full time, long-term role (Autumn term initially)

Required skills and experience
⦁ Qualified teacher status (QTS) – not suitable for ECTs
⦁ Good subject knowledge
⦁ Experience as a teacher within Key Stage Two
⦁ Able to liaise with other staff/work in collaboration
⦁ A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
⦁ Minimum of 2 excellent references required.

The teacher role is based in the Smethwick area so for those travelling on public transport the school is accessible from Bearwood, Oldbury, Harborne, Quinton and West Bromwich. For those travelling by car, on site parking is available and can be reached from the wider areas of Dudley, Edgbaston, Halesowen, Great Barr and Tipton.
