Job Description

We are recruiting a Psychology Teacher for a GOOD Ofsted-rated secondary school in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to join a supportive and forward-thinking environment. The role focuses on teaching Key Stage 5 Psychology with excellent resources and strong leadership in place.
The school welcomes applications from both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking a long-term or permanent position. You will be supported to thrive within a collaborative department and make a real impact on students’ learning.

This position is available as soon as possible, covering maternity leave, and could potentially last up to 12 months. Candidates should have strong behaviour management skills and be willing to take on the full responsibilities of a teacher, including planning, marking, and attending all directed time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and challenging Key Stage 5 Psychology lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Plan, teach, assess, and mark students’ work to promote progress and achievement
  • Track and report on student progress effectively
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management and a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop departmental initiatives and resources
  • Support whole-school initiatives and uphold high academic standards

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status
  • Experience teaching Psychology at KS5 in a secondary school
  • Excellent subject knowledge and ability to inspire students
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
  • Passionate about student progress, engagement, and achievement
