Flourish Education are recruiting for a part-time RE Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Harborne. This part-time role is due to start in September and will continue until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will teach Religious Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and will have full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking and assessment.

As an RE Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Full class responsibilities, including planning, marking and assessment
  • Delivering engaging Religious Education lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Supporting the academic and personal development of pupils
  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging high levels of engagement
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student can succeed

Required Skills and Experience:

To be considered for this RE Teacher role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Experience teaching Religious Education within a UK Secondary School
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Religious Education
  • Excellent subject knowledge and effective behaviour management skills
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • A genuine passion for inspiring young people and supporting their progress

Working as an RE Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:

  • Pay from £174.71–£240.70 per day, which equates to £34,068–£46,937 per annum based on working five days per week for a full school year (salary will be pro rata for this part-time role)

This secondary school is located in Harborne and is easily accessible by car and public transport from Quinton, Edgbaston, Selly Oak, Bartley Green, Bearwood, Northfield, Halesowen and the surrounding areas. On-site parking is available for staff.
