Flourish Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Coventry who are looking for a passionate and confident Reception Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term position running until April 2027, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years specialist who enjoys creating an engaging and nurturing learning environment and wants to become part of a supportive school team.

As the Reception Class Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a positive start to school life for your pupils. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging learning opportunities that support children's development across the EYFS curriculum.

You will:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging and age-appropriate lessons
• Support children's development across all areas of the EYFS
• Create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
• Assess and track children's progress effectively
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
• Use effective behaviour and classroom management strategies
• Deliver Read Write Inc. phonics sessions confidently

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) holder
• Experienced as a Primary Teacher or EYFS Class Teacher
• Confident teaching within Reception/EYFS
• Knowledgeable about the EYFS framework and National Curriculum
• Experienced with the Read Write Inc. phonics programme – essential
• Confident with classroom and behaviour management
• Creative, enthusiastic and passionate about Early Years education
• Able to build positive relationships with children and colleagues
• Looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent

• £168.80–£232.57 per day, dependent on experience
• £32,916–£45,351 equivalent annual salary, based on working five days a week for a full school year
• 12.07% holiday pay accrued into a holiday pot for PAYE candidates

The school is based in Coventry and is easily accessible from Nuneaton, Bedworth, Warwick and surrounding areas.
