Are you a passionate and nurturing Early Years Teacher looking for a new opportunity next term?

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Worcester is seeking a dedicated Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis from Easter until the end of the academic year.

This role is ideal for both experienced practitioners and ECTs who are looking to develop their practice within a well-supported setting. No planning is required, as this will be overseen by the Early Years Lead, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality teaching and building strong relationships with pupils.

As a Reception Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children at the very start of their school journey, promoting their development across all areas of the EYFS framework and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.

As a Reception Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Following established planning set by the Early Years Lead.

  • Observing, assessing, and supporting children’s progress.

  • Creating a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, the Early Years Lead, and senior leaders.

  • Ensuring continuity and consistency within the classroom throughout the summer term.


To be successful in this Reception Teacher role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Experience within Early Years or a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills appropriate to Reception.

  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.

  • The ability to build positive relationships quickly within a new school environment.
