Are you an Office Administrator with school experience?

Flourish Education are seeking an experienced member of staff to join a school in the Handsworth area on a part time, to cover for a period of staff absence. The ideal Administrator must be someone with previous experience working in a school office although formal qualifications are not required.

Starting in June, the role will involve general administrative duties including: answering the phone, photocopying, dealing with parents and responding to emails. A friendly approach to work is important, with good communication skills and enthusiasm to work as a team. Working knowledge and experience using Arbor would be advantageous.  

Hours are flexible however the school need someone flexible to cover 25 hours a week.

To apply for this Administrator role you will need the following:

  • Previous experience of working as a school administrator is essential
  • Previous experience using Arbor or other school systems would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of school processes including invoices, dinner money etc.
  • DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
  • Minimum of 2 excellent references required.
  • KCSIE-compliant safeguarding and prevent duty training inclusive of modules relating to legislation, FGM and abuse.

Responsibilities for the Administrator role:

  • To offer excellent face to face and telephone contact
  • To maintain and keep accurate records
  • To complete training relevant to this role
  • To support the Admin team with daily tasks
  • To follow the school code of conduct
  • To follow Data Protection regulations
  • To work Mon to Thur, 8.30 to 1pm, Friday 8.00 to 4pm

The Administrator roles are based in the Handsworth area and can be easily reached from the surrounding areas of Smethwick, Aston, Perry Barr and Edgbaston. For those commuting by car, the wider areas of Quinton, Harborne, Wednesbury, West Bromwich and Stourbridge are within reach.
