This position is set to begin in January and will continue through to the end of the academic year. The role involves teaching both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with responsibilities including lesson planning and marking.

As this is a long-term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:

  • Teach Science throughout KS3 and KS4.
  • Planning, marking, and assessment required.
  • Comply with the school behaviour policy.
  • Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
  • Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills

Required skills and experience for the Science Teacher role:
  • Specialist in Science
  • Confident teaching both Science up to GCSE
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English - Early career Teachers (ECT’s) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
  • Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous school experience teaching Science.
