Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to work in a supportive and high-achieving secondary school. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a passionate teacher who can inspire students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

The successful Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, marking work, assessing progress, and carrying out full class teacher responsibilities. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from you.
This role is due to start as soon as possible and may continue into September.
As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in line with the National Curriculum
  • Undertake full class responsibilities including planning, preparation, assessment, and marking
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to maximise achievement
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning throughout the classroom
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Secondary School to support departmental objectives
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the Secondary School

Required Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Applications welcomed from an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or experienced Secondary Teacher
  • Previous experience teaching Science within a Secondary School environment
  • Excellent subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience as a Science Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Teacher, Classroom Teacher, or Subject Specialist is desirable

Working as a Science Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
