Job Role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons, including marking.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students’ academic progress and development, encouraging independent learning.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, participating in meetings, extracurricular activities, and school events.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Science.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and passion for science.
  • Proven track record of managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons for students of all abilities.
  • Prior experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
  • Confident across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working as a Science Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:

  • £154.84 - £250 per day, which equates to £30,193 to £48,750 per annum, based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
