Science Teacher September- North Worcestershire

About The Role

Flourish Education are currently working with a school for 11- 16-year-olds with “outstanding features” near the North Worcestershire/ Shropshire boarder who are looking to recruit a Science Teacher to start in September 2022 on a full-time basis for a Maternity Cover. Our client invests into their pupils and staff to ensure all are supported to the best they can be.

A successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and be confident teaching all three Sciences across Key Stage 3 and 4, Whole class teaching responsibilities will be required including planning, marking, and attending CPD sessions.   

This is a full-time maternity cover role starting in September and is likely to last until July 2023.

To apply to this Science Teacher role, you will need the following

• QTS in Science (ECT’s are encouraged to apply)
• Experience teaching in a UK Secondary School
• Excellent subject knowledge of all three sciences
• Able to teach Science across Key stage 3 and 4.
• Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
• A strong school reference from your recent employer

Responsibilities as a Science Teacher

• Whole class teaching responsibilities including planning and marking
• Driving improvements in GCSE grades
• Monitoring and ensuring pupil progress
• Improving Science GCSE results
• Act as a Form Tutor
• Engage in faculty trips and learning outside of the classroom
• Create an attractive and stimulating learning environment which is refreshed frequently
