Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a specialist primary school supporting pupils aged 4–11 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism, Physical Disabilities and Complex Medical Needs. You will plan and deliver highly personalised and engaging lessons, work closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists and nursing staff, and support pupils to achieve their individual EHCP outcomes through a bespoke curriculum.
The school has a vibrant, caring and inclusive ethos where every child is valued as an individual and encouraged to achieve their full potential. Staff work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses and families to create an environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and personally. The school benefits from outstanding specialist facilities including sensory rooms, hydrotherapy and swimming pools, soft play areas, music and drama studios, and purpose-built learning environments.
This SEND Teacher role is to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is full time with the potential to become temp to perm for the right individual. ECTs are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with SLD, PMLD, Autism, Physical Disabilities and/or Complex Medical Needs.
  • Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching practice.
  • UK school-based experience.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
  • Two excellent references.
Working for Flourish Education you will receive;
  • £168.80 to £232.57 day rate which equates to £32,916 per annum to £45,351 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (dependent on experience)
