We’re currently recruiting passionate SEN Teachers based in Sandwell to work with pupils who present with a range of needs, including ADHD, communication and interaction difficulties, cognition and learning challenges, and ASD. In this role, you'll plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet a wide variety of learning styles and abilities, helping pupils engage, progress, and build confidence.

The SEN Teacher Role:
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to pupils with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), communication and interaction difficulties, and cognition and learning challenges, ensuring that each learner receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.
  • Support students with complex and additional educational needs
  • Adapt learning materials and approaches to suit individual learning styles and EHCP outcomes
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Plan and adapt lessons to suit diverse learning styles and individual education plans (IEPs), ensuring each pupil receives the support they need to thrive.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and external agencies
Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teacher Role:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Experience in roles such as SEN Teacher, Specialist Teacher for Communication and Interaction, Inclusion Coordinator, or Behaviour Support Lead, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, and communication or learning challenges.
  • A strong understanding of SEND, particularly in supporting pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), communication and interaction difficulties, and cognition and learning needs.
  • Experience working in a special school, PRU or inclusive mainstream setting
  • Familiarity with strategies for managing behaviour and supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Must be confident in planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and learning outcomes.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices

  • £162.31 to £223.63 per day which equates to £31,650 to £43,607 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

We work with a range of alternative provisions across Sandwell that support children and young people with diverse and complex needs. These settings are easily accessible from surrounding areas such as West Bromwich, Smethwick, Oldbury, Tipton, Wednesbury, and Rowley Regis. Many offer excellent public transport links and convenient on-site parking for those who drive.
