We’re currently looking for a committed SEND Teacher to join our team and work in specialist schools across Wolverhampton. This role gives you the chance to support pupils with a diverse range of SEND needs, fostering engagement and growth in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. You decide which days you’d like to work, and we’ll match you with schools where your skills and passion will thrive.
  
The SEN Teacher Role:
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to pupils who may have a wide range of SEND needs including Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD), Hearing Impairments (HI) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Support students with complex and additional educational needs
  • Adapt learning materials and approaches to suit individual learning styles and EHCP outcomes
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Maintain a trauma-informed and nurturing classroom environment
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and external agencies
Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teacher Role:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Experience in roles such as SENCo, ADD/ BESD Teacher, MLD Teacher, SEND Teacher, or Inclusion Coordinator
  • Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including MLD, HI, BESD, ADD
  • Experience working in a special school, PRU or inclusive mainstream setting
  • Familiarity with strategies for managing behaviour and supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges
  • A nurturing, empathetic and flexible teaching style
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices
