SEN Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist independent school in Worcester, supporting two Key Stage 3 pupils with Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD) who are non-verbal. You will deliver a highly personalised curriculum tailored to each pupil's individual needs, helping them develop communication, independence and confidence in a safe, nurturing environment. You will be supported in the classroom by an experienced Teaching Assistant, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging and meaningful learning experiences that meet each pupil's EHCP outcomes.

This Teacher role is due to start in September and will continue until Christmas initially, with the potential to become temp to perm for the right candidate. The position is full time.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • Experience teaching pupils with Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • Experience supporting non-verbal pupils and using alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton or AAC is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of EHCPs and highly personalised learning.
  • A patient, nurturing and flexible approach to teaching.
  • UK school-based teaching experience.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of two excellent references.

Working for Flourish Education you will receive;

  • £168.80 to £232.57 day rate which equates to £32,916 per annum to £45,351.15 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (dependent on experience)
