Job Description

SEN Teacher required for a September start on a long-term, full-time basis at a supportive Primary School in Worcester. This position will see the successful SEN Teacher working with pupils across Key Stage 2 within a dedicated SEN unit. You will be providing tailored learning for children with additional needs in a nurturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEN Teacher looking to make a lasting difference in a specialist setting.

This Primary School is establishing an alternative provision unit within Key Stage 2 to better support pupils with SEN needs. The school is forward-thinking and inclusive, committed to meeting every child’s individual educational needs in a positive and structured learning environment.

Job Role:

  • Full class responsibilities including planning and marking
  • Delivering personalised and differentiated lessons for SEN pupils
  • Supporting academic, social and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants and parents
  • Creating a safe, structured and engaging classroom environment
  • Implementing strategies to support individual behaviour and learning plans

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working as a SEN Teacher, Primary School Teacher or KS2 Teacher
  • Strong understanding of National Curriculum, KS1 and KS2
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Passion for inclusive education and supporting pupils with SEND
