SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a caring SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1–KS2 with Physical Disabilities, PMLD & Complex Medical Needs. Working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups, you will help pupils access learning, develop independence and achieve their individual EHCP outcomes.

The school has a nurturing and inclusive ethos, placing each pupil at the heart of everything they do. Staff work collaboratively with therapists, families and multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop independence, confidence and life skills while celebrating every achievement.

This Teacher Assistant role is to start September 2026 and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is full time with the potential to go temp to perm for the right individual.


Required Skills and Experience
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience supporting pupils with Physical Disabilities, PMLD & Complex Medical Needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • UK school-based experience.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
  • Two excellent references
Working for Flourish Education you will receive;
  • £92.59 to £110 day rate which equates to £18,049 per annum to £21,450 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (dependent on experience)
