SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Flourish Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work at an OFSTED rated ‘good’ village primary school in Cheltenham. The school are looking to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with two children who have additional needs. The school is committed to providing for children who may have particular challenges in their lives and for whom there is a need to build a bespoke provision around them.

You will be working with a child in Reception each morning with autism. In the afternoons, you will be supporting a child in year 1. Experience of working within the EYFS would be of an advantage, but not essential. You must have a proven strong record of SEN support, and be comfortable supporting children with personal care.

The school are looking for candidates who are willing to commit to a long-term position to ensure consistency for the children. This role is to start immediately, and will potentially continue until the children requiring support finish their Primary Education.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:
⦁ Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
⦁ Experience of working with children with SEN
⦁ Committed to a long-term post

The benefits of working as an SEN Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education:

This SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Cheltenham, and is easily commutable from the surrounding areas such as Tewkesbury, Bishops Cleeve and Gloucester. The school has an onsite carpark, and is easily accessible via public transport.
