Flourish Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work at an Ofsted rated ‘good’ primary school in Bishops Cleeve. The school are looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a child with additional needs in Key Stage 1 (KS1). The school is known for its friendly and supportive team, well-resourced facilities, and commitment to creating a nurturing atmosphere where every child can thrive.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant would need to have strong behaviour management skills and previous experience of working with children with SEN. The school are looking for candidates who are willing to commit to a long-term position to ensure consistency for the child. You will work towards building a great 1-1 relationship with a child, supporting their learning journey and earning the reward of seeing them flourish!
This role is to start in September and will provisionally continue until the end of the academic year.
Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
- Experience of supporting children with SEN
- A secure knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
- Committed to a long-term post
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude
- Willingness to provide intimate care when necessary
