Job Description

Flourish is recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to support Primary SEN schools across Coventry. You’ll work with children with complex needs such as PD, SLCN, SLD, non-verbal communication needs and EBD, providing personalised support in calm, structured classrooms.

Working alongside class teachers, other 1:1 TA's, you’ll help deliver tailored learning activities, sensory play and communication-focused support, while encouraging positive interactions and emotional regulation. You’ll also collaborate with specialist staff including SALTs, and behaviour support teams to ensure each child receives the care they need.

The SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with PD, SLCN, SLD, EBD, and non-verbal needs.
  • Work with teachers, social workers and care workers to support individual EHCP targets.
  • Help maintain a safe, calm and nurturing environment that supports positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Assist with personal care or communication needs where required.
  • Promote independence, confidence and emotional resilience in all learners.
