These settings support children with complex needs, including Challenging Behaviour, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADD/ADHD, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Each school provides personalised support to help pupils engage, develop, and thrive in a safe, structured environment.

The SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Challenging Behaviour, ASD, ADD/ADHD, EBD, and SEMH needs.
- Implement strategies to support behaviour management, emotional regulation, and personalised learning outcomes for each pupil.
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to meet EHCP goals
- Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Support pupils with personal care or physical needs, where required
- Promote independence, confidence and resilience in learners
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in any of the following roles:
- SEN Teaching Assistant, SEND TA, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), Teaching Assistant, 1:1 TA, Behaviour Mentor
- Experience working in a special school, PRU, alternative provision or inclusive mainstream school
- Strong understanding of SEND, with particular experience supporting pupils with Challenging Behaviour, ASD, ADD/ADHD, EBD, and SEMH needs
- Empathetic, adaptable, and resilient approach, able to respond positively to the individual needs of each child.
- Excellent behaviour management strategies
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Relevant training such as Team Teach, Makaton or PECS is desirable but not essential
