Flourish Education is delighted to be working with a friendly and inclusive Primary School based in Dudley, to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team in February.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role, combines 1:1 support for a child with additional needs alongside general classroom support, offering variety and the chance to make a meaningful impact in Year 4. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support learning, development, and wellbeing during this important stage of education.

This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting young children and contributing to a positive classroom environment.
 

Key responsibilities for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs during parts of the school day.

• Offer general classroom support in Year 4, assisting with learning activities and routines.

• Support children’s communication, social, and emotional development.

• Help adapt activities to ensure all children can access the national curriculum.

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow individual support plans.

• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

• Observe and share progress and development with the wider team.

Skills and Experience Required for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

• Previous experience working across Key Stage 2, and with previous SEN experience

• Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable.

• A caring, patient, and flexible approach.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting children’s development.

• £88.92 to £100.00 per day, equating to £17,339 to £19,500 per annum based on a full school year.
