Job Description

We are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join an OFSTED rated Good Primary School in Chipping Campden. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is full-time and offers the chance to support a non-verbal child in a nurturing and welcoming environment. As an experienced TA, you will work closely with the Class Teacher and wider SEND team. Candidates frequently ask about training and support—this school provides both.
Job Role
  • Support the Class Teacher in delivering the National Curriculum across Reception and KS1
  • Provide 1:1 support for a non-verbal child, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs
  • Assist with classroom routines, behaviour support and learning activities
  • Work as part of a supportive Primary School team promoting pupil progress
  • Contribute to planning, assessment and resource preparation as required
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Required Skills and Experience
  • Previous UK school experience is essential
  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, TA, Learning Support Assistant or similar
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum, EYFS, Reception and KS1
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs, ideally non-verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and wider staff
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 preferred
