Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant required for a welcoming Primary School in Moreton-in-Marsh. This is an exciting opportunity to join an OFSTED rated Good Primary School that is looking to recruit multiple SEN Teaching Assistant professionals to support pupils with additional needs on a long-term, full-time basis.

Job Role
 
  • Support the Class Teacher in delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Work as a TA providing dedicated 1:1 support for a high-needs, non-verbal child.
  • Provide tailored support for a Year 2 pupil working below age-related expectations who also has medical needs.
  • Assist pupils across Reception, EYFS and Key Stage 1 (KS1), adapting activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment within the Primary School.
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher, SENCO and wider staff team to ensure every child reaches their potential.

Required Skills and Experience
 
  • Previous UK school experience is essential.
  • Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, Teaching Assistant or TA.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including non-verbal pupils and children with medical needs.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum, Reception, EYFS and Key Stage 1 (KS1).
  • Excellent communication, patience and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
  • Ability to work full-time in a long-term SEN Teaching Assistant role.

This position is based in Moreton-in-Marsh and is easily commutable from Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton, Bourton-on-the-Water, Shipston-on-Stour, Evesham and Stratford-upon-Avon. The school benefits from excellent transport links and onsite parking, making it easily accessible from surrounding areas.
