This will be a full-time position in a 1 form entry Primary School, doing a 1:1 with a pupil who has autism. This is due to start in September for full time for the full academic year.
This Teaching Assistant role will include:
- Provide 1:1 for students with special educational needs.
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials for SEN pupils.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils across various stages, including Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Reception, and EYFS.
- Monitor and report on student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school is essential.
- Understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to promoting a positive work-life balance.
