SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Flourish Education is currently recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a one-form entry village primary school in Malvern, to join their team on a full-time basis. The school has recently been rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED, with the report stating that; ‘Staff are caring and supportive, and, with governing body members, volunteers, and visitors to the school, they create an exceptional place for learning.’

You will be working on a one-to-one basis with a pupil in Year 1. The successful applicant would need to have strong behaviour management skills and previous experience of working with children with SEN. The school are looking for candidates who are willing to commit to a long-term position to ensure consistency for the child. You will work towards building a great 1-1 relationship with a child and supporting their learning journey.

This is a long-term position in a thriving little school. We are looking for a passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant for an immediate start and to continue until the end of the academic year. This role has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Committed to long term role
  • Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • DBS on the update service of issued within the last 12 months
  • Experience of working with children with SEN

This SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Malvern and is easily commutable from the surrounding areas including Bromyard, Tewkesbury, Ledbury and Hereford.  The school has an onsite carpark and is easily accessible via public transport.
