Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant required for a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Pershore rated Ofsted Good. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a full time role, until the end of the Academic year, working 1:1 with a child who has ASD within Key Stage 2 (KS2). The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership and supportive Class Teacher team. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will receive a £150 welcome bonus*, paid automatically once you’ve completed 30 consecutive working days in your role.

JOB ROLE:
  • Working 1:1 with a child who has ASD in Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Supporting the Class Teacher to deliver the National Curriculum
  • Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs within the Primary School setting
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the Class Teacher
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Supporting with classroom preparation and general TA duties

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous UK school experience is essential
  • Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant or TA
  • Experience working within a Primary School environment
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Experience working 1:1 with a child who has ASD
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and wider school team

This SEN Teaching Assistant position is in Pershore, which is easily commutable from Evesham, Worcester, Upton-upon-Severn, Drakes Broughton, Broadway and Inkberrow. The Primary School offers onsite parking and has excellent transport links from surrounding Worcestershire areas.
