SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Flourish Education are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at an OFSTED rated ‘good’ primary school in Quedgeley. The school are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a pupil in Year 3 with an EHCP.

The school are ideally looking for a calm and nurturing practioner to build a positive relationship with the pupil and their family. You must have experience of supporting those with SEN, and a secure knowledge of the KS2 curriculum. You must be willing to commit to a long-term position to ensure consistency for the child.

This role is to start in September and will potentially continue until the child requiring support finishes school.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

⦁ Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
⦁ Secure knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
⦁ Experience of working with children with SEN
⦁ Committed to a long-term post (could potentially be a long-term role until the child finishes at primary school)

This SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Quedgeley, and is easily commutable from the surrounding areas including Cinderford, Mitcheldean, Gloucester and Cheltenham. The school has an onsite carpark, and is easily accessible via public transport.
