Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a First School in the Redditch area. Our client is looking to recruit a full-time SEN teaching assistant to work in a Year 1 class on a long-term basis.

The school require a SEN Teaching Assistant to support in the Year 1 class, working on a one to one (1:1) basis with a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The child has an EHCP with an Autism diagnosis and can display elements of challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will have a patient and nurturing approach to teaching and support.

This SEN Teaching assistant role is full-time and ideally starts after the October Half Term or as soon as possible thereafter and continue on a long-term basis.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:
Minimum Level 2 qualification or equivalent
Experience in a Primary School or Nursery setting
Experience in Key Stage 1 (KS1) is a bonus
Ability to manage challenging behaviour
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Working for Flourish Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant you will receive:
Day rate up to £90 per day which equates to £17,550 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
The option of PAYE or Umbrella
Holiday Pay- for PAYE candidates you accrue this at 14.36% of your day rate

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is situated on the outskirts of Redditch in a residential area. The school is easily accessible by car and public transport and has a good sized car park on site.
