Flourish Education are working in partnership with a friendly Primary School in West Bromwich, who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This is a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible, and continuing through to the end of the academic year in July, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND across KS1 and KS2

Support children’s academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans
-
Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with a range of additional needs

Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Support pupils both within the classroom and in small group interventions
Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school setting

Confidence in managing behaviour and supporting pupils with additional needs

The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children

A good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum

A DBS on the update service, or issued within the last 12 months
-
A minimum of two excellent references
Working for Flourish Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will receive:

Competitive Salary – £18,049 - £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week, and on previous experience.
