This SEN Teaching Assistant role will be a 1:1 in Year 1 with a child with a EHCP (Education Healthcare plan). The school is a small village primary school which is on the outskirts of Stourbridge. This will start in September for the full academic year.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will include:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop effective strategies for classroom management.
  • Support students in developing social skills and emotional resilience.
  • Prepare and maintain classroom materials and resources.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to SENCo and teaching staff.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Previous UK school experience, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum, including Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Reception, and EYFS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to promoting a positive work-life balance.

Working as a Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
